athena and apollo adventures: part 1

[ today is a weekend, and nobody's supposed to be at the wright anything agency, but athena's made her way in with her key and is just sitting on the couch and reading some stuff on widget.

a weekend as it may be, athena's got a packed schedule for the day. shopping for groceries (it's tough when you're living alone!), visiting the aquarium for some animal therapy, going to the library to study some, and that's just the start of her day. in the afternoon, she plans on heading to the gym to do some light workouts, and what a good way to train in her martial arts form by asking her colleague apollo to join her!

and also to carry her bags. so she's waiting for him now at the agency. athena's gone a bit too excited for today since she's never really spent time with apollo outside of work-related scenarios, so she got there extra early. ]

Hello!

Athena has a heightened sense of hearing, which makes her able to hear discord in people's voices. Another way of describing her ability is that she can hear people's hearts. Basically, if you are capable of feeling any emotion, she will be able to tell if what you said matches with what you felt at that time.

To help her with her ability, she uses the Mood Matrix, a program that can be accessed through her robot necklace. The above screencap shows what an unactivated Mood Matrix screen looks like.

The Mood Matrix shows visuals of a person's memories. On each corner of the Mood Matrix's screen are four different emotions: happiness, anger, sadness, and shock (from top (left-right) to bottom (left-right). These emotion icons light up depending on what emotions Athena is able to hear. Eg. you're very angry at someone, but you smile and say "It's okay", the angry icon will start blinking red.

As for any repressed memories, Athena would be able to sense it, but not know what it could be.

She doesn't always use the Mood Matrix—only on official business—but not using it doesn't turn off her heightened senses. It's only a way of visualising what she's hearing.

[ Athena's first ever case on her own! No Mister Wright or Apollo to help her out - they have their own cases, and she's left to her own devices.

She stood in front of the crime scene (a house in a pretty active neighbourhood), absolutely nervous. While she knew what to do, she wasn't exactly sure how to do it. She's already gone to the precinct to meet her client, Jane Roe. Jane was arrested for the murder of her next-door neighbour, John Stiles. Athena knew it wasn't her, though. All she had to do was win.

But when it came to asking around and finding clues, she wasn't sure how to begin. ]

How would Mr. Wright do this? Or Apollo?

[ She talked to herself for a while, until an idea hit her. And that's when she yelled "Eureka!" and walked up to every person remotely near the crime scene, flashing her defense attorney badge as she did so. ]

Excusez-moi but I need your cooperation for just a couple of minutes. Or else!
