I finally learned the meaning of the word chouette, even if it was with rather more hassle than necessary.

Their apartment has yet to be cleaned properly, and she'll certainly get around to it, but first she has to recharge herself... and possibly repair some relationships! ]

You’ll have to pardon me if this sounds generic but I simply couldn’t think of a more efficient way to do it. Simply put, I’ve successfully managed to convert my world’s calendar to the one of this world and I best estimate my birthday to fall sometime before December 25th, which is apparently known as Christmas Day here. Then I had thought “oh, but certainly others would love to join in the festivities!” and so now my proposal is for there to be a lovely winter ball on thinking the 26th, hence the reason for this invitation. I would like to extend my request for your assistance in preparations for the ball, if you would be so kind as to lend your aid.

Hello Athena! I hope you don’t mind the surprise correspondence from me but the sweets you had at the slumber party were truly delightful! Would you mind telling me where you procured them from?

[It's taken her a lot of courage to actually type this message out; but she just wants Athena to know, even if it's probably trouble. . .especially when one takes into consideration the fact that she's posting this in the wee hours of the morning where it's barely even hit one in the morning.]

Athena. There's something you have to see. Right away.

[Later in the evening, whether it's because she's answering a knock (that has no one behind it!!!) or coming home from wherever she may have been, Athena is going to find a big brown box outside her door with "To Athena" written in big, neat letters on top!

Opening this box reveals an envelope and two smaller boxes, these both wrapped neatly with very pretty bows on them and notes in the corners that read "Do not open until Christmas!" Whether she opens them now or waits, she'll find the following:

In the envelope is a pink card and a LOT of glitter! Probably from those glittery letters! On both the front and inside of this card are lots and lots of stickers, and the inside also holds a hand drawn picture and a note:

Merry Christmas Athena! I hope you have a really, really good one! I wanted to make sure to thank you for inviting me to that sleep over, and I was originally going to give you an IOU for a sweater but I did my best to finish it and got it done just in time! It might be a liiiiiittle big, because I was guessing on size, but I'm pretty sure it's okay! And there's also some other stuff for you in there too! Well not in the same box, in the other box, but you'll figure that out I don't need to tell you. I really hope we can have a party like that again! If I don't see you today, I'm gonna give you a big Christmas hug tomorrow, okay?

Inside the thin garment box Athena will find a very, very bright yellow sweater. It's very fuzzy, made with some pretty unique yarn that makes the texture kind of bumpy, but in a fun way! It's a very soft fuzz. There's a note that says "I hope you're a dolphin kind of girl! You seem like you are!"

Inside the smaller, square box is an assortment of candies and sweets, all Christmas themed (like the box is literally FULL of them, all the way to the top) and mixed in with these are little surprises! There's about ten different bracelets, all done in a weave with either yarn or ribbon and decorated with pony beads in a rainbow of colors, there are little knit keychains (a cat head, a pig and another pink dolphin) and a variety of near neon colored nail polish. Everything but the candy is hand made!]

[After a few days of watching the comings and goings of the apartments down the hall from him during his off hours and watching various folks get spooked at random by the innocent looking little snowman suddenly bursting into song as they walked passed, Cliff finally decided that enough was enough. With a small, hastily wrapped package and a late-night conversation with a black haired, well spoken gentleman in mind, Cliff gently knocked on the apartment door with a bare hand.

Someone had to be home, if his guess was correct. And, given the reactions he was seeing so far, he hoped that he wasn't too far out of line...]

But there is another reason I am contacting you, as well. As you hosted the sleepover, I assume you are familiar with what goes on at a normal birthday party...? My classmates and I are hosting Hinata's birthday party. I was hoping you could give me some suggestions as to what would be appropriate to do.

[God, sort of heavy packages here. Actually one is super heavy. Might need Ryuko's help pulling that inside. For the super heavy one, when she opens it up, it's a box of sand. Oops. No, no, look at that shiny, silver thing that doesn't belong. When Athena pulls it out, it's a....chainshirt. To wear under her clothes as armor when she goes doing dangerous stuff in game. He actually made it himself so it was hard work! It's pretty lightweight itself, it's the sand that was heavy.

The other package was probably as expected since Archer gave it away. It's a small buckler she can strap to her forearm. It's also got a crescent moon in the middle as an emblem, to match her earrings. At least he's thoughtful.

Actually, there're sweets carefully put in a smaller box inside so it won't be jostled. Cupcakes (chocolate as well as vanilla). With icing dolphins decorating their blue-icing'd tops. BUT, alongside that is this guy right here, along with a little box of new paints and brushes.]

[ Aaand, here's finally that gift he said he would deliver. It looks really heavy and has been nicely wrapped up. The contents inside might or might not be so nice. It depends on her preference.

[On Christmas Day, Athena has some presents under the tree at Phoenix's apartment that she can pick up at her leisure. This includes a Christmas card (the front of which bears a dorky picture of Phoenix and Trucy with Santa beards/hats photoshopped onto them):]

I don't always say it, but I hope that you know that I'm really proud of you, for a lot of things. There's everything that you accomplished back home. You helped to save an innocent man's life against all odds, you proved yourself as a lawyer, and it's thanks to you that we brought an end to the dark age of the law. And here, you've managed to stay so bright and energetic despite everything. You've made a lot of friends and you're doing what you can to help others here even when you can't practice law.

It's like you're growing up a little more day, and I'm glad. Adjusting to this place wouldn't have been half as easy without you. As your boss, I'm going to do what I can to help you back. I promise that the Wright Anything Agency will be fully on its feet in due time, and I'll do everything that I can to get us back in the courtroom. We can't give up yet. [On Christmas Eve, Lee leaves a mini-Christmas tree outside the door to the apartment and sets up presents for Athena and Ryuko there.

Athena's card contains a heartfelt message of youth and how much he's enjoyed working with her at the gym. The present includes some weights, a pamphlet about an intense training , a book of inspirational feel-good proverbs and a framed photo of Gai-Sensei.]

[Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! It is a time of generosity, and so Vietnam would like to share some food that one can share with family and friends. A package containing some bánh quy bơ quế (butter cookies with Vietnamese cinnamon MMMM), and an assortment of mứt (candied fruit preserves) for the New Year.

She also gets this awesome as hell mug for all her tea and coffee needs! A card is included:]

[ The message is heartfelt, but when Athena opens up her package, she'll see that the actual presents are rather silly. He wasn't sure what to get her, but, for some reason, this bee pillow reminded him of her. Maybe it was because of all the yellow. Neatly wrapped in sparkly tissue paper is a golden laurel headband because, again, it reminded him of her. ]
