Oh! Then somebody else has to do it? [ okay then, fay it is!!! maybe he can do something about it... but what kind of bracelet would she get him? probably nothing fancy... he doesn't seem like the fancy type to begin with. maybe just one of those bracelets made of hard string? whatever. she'll have to check out some shops and talk to fay about it. ]

I... really have no idea. I'm lucky that one worked, honestly. [ Though leather/hard string are definitely better tbh. ]

[ there's no reason for her to not wear it anymore now that he's back, so may as well put it on again. she doesn't say anything as she puts it back on her left wrist, and only peeks up at him once it's on to see and hear what he's feeling. ]

[ Weirdly relieved, honestly. He even reaches out to slide a finger over the metal, peeking back at her. ]

Thank you. [ A pause follows, before he explains. ] I don't want you to force yourself to suffer for my sake.

[ he really doesn't have to say thank you... but it does make her realise that this is what he really wants. that he truly means what he says. ]

I couldn't help it. I'm sorry. [ a beat. ] I promise not to take it off again.

[ and she really won't this time!!! ]

[ He gives her a tiny nod in response, pulling her hand in to kiss over her wrist, eyes closing. ] Good. I wouldn't want that. No matter what happens, I want you to try and be happy.

[ god, merlin. don't say things like that. it hurts.

after he kisses her wrist, she just holds his hand tightly. ]

That means you can't be sad too, okay?

[ Yeah well, the flamines put a KILL label on him already, he knows there's a very big chance it'll happen again. ]

Okay. [ Though both of them probably know they'll fail that one. ]

[ it's only half-reassuring when he says okay, but at least he sounds like he's going to try. that's a start. ]

[ It is a start... and he will try it's just that he's just as over emotional as she is half the time. ]

[ her grip on him just tightens, and her other hand curls into a ball. her head drops, trying not to look at him this time because she'd hate to see the look on his face after making such a selfish request. ]

Can you stay here? Just... Just for a few days.

[ He leans up a bit then, nudging the top of his head under hers and kisses close to where widget is, trying to get as close to her heart as he can. ]

For as long as you want. I'll... need to visit a few people, but I can come back straight after.

[ she perks up then and tries to muster a smile. it's working. ]

Okay. I'll wait for you.

[ He gives her a tiny smile in return, which she'll feel against her skin, then he leans back to look up at her. ] I'll bring a bag with me?

[ ah!!! sleepovers with merlin *^* how exciting. ]

[ He bites into the corner of his lip, clearly trying to hold back a smile. ]

You're sure?

[ she nods excitedly!!!! she's definitely feeling really pumped up and cheered up now. ]

Sure I am!

[ and in a softer tone, she whispers: ] What's mine is yours.

[ WHY CAN'T THEY GET MARRIED YET!!!!!! ]

[ ... Jesus. Well, if anything truly helped pick up his heart this afternoon, it's that. His tongue drags over his lip as it thumps loudly, quickly in his chest. ]

Same. [ He pulls her in to kiss her then, eyes fluttering before they finally close. It definitely isn't a slow kiss either, not with how that statement made him feel. ]

[ IDK WHY CAN'T THEY!!!!!!!!!! ]

[ a part of her hesitates to bring herself closer to him, but she leans in and kisses him back. her hand runs through his hair and rests by his ear, her thumb making soft circles in an attempt to tickle him. ]

[ Well that isn't going to help... is it? He shifts slightly as her thumb starts making circles, head twitching slightly as he curls into her, kissing her harder. He doesn't seem to be thinking quite as clearly when she does that though. Athena... why this??? ]

[ why what??? he's the one who kissed her.

her head tilts back when he kisses her harder, even making a small squeaking sound as she does. her thumb continues doing what it's doing, though as her other hand holds onto his shoulder for balance. she doesn't want this to end any time soon. ]

His hand slides up to the back of her neck when she makes that noise, though his eyes end up squeezing shut as her thumb keeps doing it. He has to press his hand down to keep his own balance, especially now he's leaning up a bit more. That ends up gripping onto her knee. ]

but ah, jesus. that tickles?! it just makes her pull him closer all the more as the kisses she returns gets a bit more sensual. a small part of her wants to break the kiss and start kissing him all over his neck, but she's a bit more considerate than that. who wants to get hot and steamy after somebody died, anyway? ]

Really his biggest issue here is that he'd rather shower before she starts kissing anywhere else. When she pulls him in though, his hand has to move up to cling to her hip, holding on so he doesn't topple over. ]

the hand that's on his shoulder just holds on tighter, and her other hand drops to his chest where she bunches a part of his shirt in the midst of this intensity. her kisses only get sloppier before she pulls away to try and catch her breath. it's then when the hand on his shoulder cups his cheek so she can just look at him fondly. it's probably for the best that she didn't push him down to kiss him even deeper, especially when she understands (or misunderstands?!) that he doesn't want things to escalate too much with her right now. ]
