[Rei's smile remains muted, grateful, and pleased. It was something she'd never dared to do at home, for fear of reprisal from her father over making him look bad. Besides that, she'd had her whole team there. Here? Just three. A new support network was important. And staying in fighting shape was too.]

This place is actually nice without the chaos... but that's probably just me getting used to living here.
