I guess she just wants to help out with the finances. I mean, I can take care of rent and everything since I make sure I put aside enough money for it. She really didn't have to.
I might look for another job again too, now that Archer's gone.

[ It isn't like he hasn't seen Athena in days but it's the same kind of excitement that coils in his tummy like butterflies all over when he thinks of spending a few days together without interruption. It isn't like he expects anything to happen (though things do keep happening after a few weeks ago sweats) he just wants to spend as much time with her as possible.
He wants to spoil her as much as possible, like his life revolves around her now.
He's packed way more than necessary for a 2 night stay. Told Shigeru he'll be away. Booked time off work (after overworking to pay for the hotel and waterpark anyway) and ended up making himself more nervous by being ready an hour early. He's dressed in smart-casual with lots of beiges and browns. It means that when the time comes to pick her up he was right on time.
He planned it so they could check in at the hotel and go out for dinner there anyway. It made sense to dress in preparation. ]

[ He just ends up tilting his head, eyes averting so he doesn't stare at her too long. She's pretty much glowing with happiness which is beautiful enough on its own, lbr, but the dress on top of it? Lord, help him. He even reaches up to scratch the side of his head, clears his throat... ]

[ Rather than going in completely he ends up just leaning about the doorframe, waiting patiently for her to go grab her stuff as well. He, thankfully, only has a duffel bag. He doesn't even give the colouring a second glance, instead he just ends up watching her walk there and back, a tiny smile on his face like a dumb lovesick puppy.
It's when she comes back that he holds out his hand to take the trolley from her. ]

[ well, since he offered, she'll hand the trolley to him, smiling like a doofus too. it's really too difficult to hide how excited she's being right now. it just makes things easier, though, because with both her hands free, she can show him what she was doing before he arrived! ]
Clonco and I made this. [ she says, unfolding a piece of paper. it's a doodle of merlin, clonco, and athena all holding hands. ai is next to athena but she's a bit smaller, and a smaller shigeru is next to him! ]

[ He leans a little to look at the picture, teeth pressing into the corner of his lip because the doodle is pretty endearing. It earns her a small kiss anyway, one that lingers just a little. ]
