[ His hand automatically reaches for hers when the taxi sets off, then he leans to look out of the window at the front. ]

Have you seen this place before?

[ she gets way into answering his question that she ends up talking a bit too loudly. the driver even looks at her from the rear view mirror with some judging look. (he's so rude...) ]

No! I mean, I wanted to! But I didn't want to because that felt like cheating, you know? I wanted to go to that part of the colony with you.

[ He almost jumps, but thankfully he's getting used to her outbursts by now. ]

You were here a lot longer before me, you could have gone before.

I had no one to go with! Aaaaaand— [ she ends up biting her lip after that, feeling awkward now. she looks away, looking outside the window closest to her instead. she definitely thought of simon, then. ]

Whatever. Does it matter?

[ He blinks when her tone changes. ]

No? I was just curious.

[psycholawgy]

[ she just shakes her head then, dismissing the whole thing. ]

I mean, I did go to the waterpark once with Ryuko and Simon and everybody else, but that was different. People got stuck in the slides and there were giant crabs attacking people. [ probably not the best impression of the waterpark, huh? ] It was fun, though. But I've never gone to the aquarium, or stayed at a hotel here.

[ He blinks, then looks at her incredulously. ]

And you wanted to go back?

[psycholawgy]

[ ???

she doesn't get why he's speaking to her with that kind of tone. ]

Yes...? It was fun.

Giant crabs were fun?

[ Maybe now it might help???????? ]

They didn't get to hurt anybody.

[ in fact, all the crabs wanted to do was pinch people's butts. ]

But they were trying to do... what, then?

[ When the taxi finally stops and the door opens though, he holds out his hand to help her out while the driver pulls out their bags. ]

I have no idea. I only heard about it from the others.

[ there were a ton of people who could fight when they had that big shindig at the waterpark. it was fine!!! she gets out of the taxi immediately, though, taking his hand again and brushing her skirt with her other hand once she's out. ]

It was still a fun day for everybody, so don't worry, okay? We'll have a good time when we go there. [ it's then that she sways their hands a bit, too trying to reassure him that nothing bad is going to happen. ]

I'm with you, I don't doubt that... it's just... [ He bites his lip. ] It's just... they really can't be trusted, can they?

[ He holds her hand a little tighter, just for a second, then reaches to take their luggage and lead her inside. They queue up to check in, Merlin doing the forms for them while Athena waits with him. Someone takes their luggage and key and leads them to the elevator, and then they get taken up... and up... and up...?!

When they open the doors to the hotel room the person with their bags wheels them inside, bows and offers: ]

Enjoy your stay, Mr and Mrs Wyllt. [ Merlin just chokes tbh, but if Athena looks inside she'll see he definitely splashed out on the honeymoon suite. ]

What?! Hey! We're not— [ that was definitely very, very loud. in fact, probably louder than apollo's voice. she turns back to face the bellboy and explain but he's gone. LIKE SHE CAN FOCUS ON THE ROOM RIGHT NOW?!?!?

then she looks up at merlin, blushing madly. lbr she already admitted that she does want to marry him at some point in the future, but this is just too much!!! ] Why did he— [ think they're married?! ]

[ He's just as red, flushing even more when she madly protests it and looks up at him. He bites on his lip and indicates into the room. ]

This is... [ He clears his throat. ] ...the honeymoon suite. It was the best they had, so...

[ Even his ears are red... ah. ]

The— honey... moon...

[ she blinks a couple of times before she manages to snap herself out of it. if they're going to spend two nights here together, she probably shouldn't make things awkward?!?! which is why she takes a few small steps into the suite, passing by the bathroom and into the room itself. ]

Woah... [ the first thing she notices is definitely the ceiling. it's water? is there an aquarium above their room? it's breathtaking, to say the least. ]

[ He coughs then moves to close the door behind them, finally taking in the room as well. He pulls his bag off her case and puts it on the floor instead, and rather than look at the room he watches her. ]

Do you... like it?

[psycholawgy]

It's beautiful...

[ she's only paying half of her attention to him, though, as she takes in her surroundings. there don't seem to be any fish swimming about, but it's probably because it's nighttime?! that's the guess she makes, anyway. what catches her attention is a small card on the bed, though. there are rose petals scattered all over the bed (and on the floor as well) and in the middle of the bed is a box. she takes a seat on the foot of the bed and takes the card, opening it up to read it. ]

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Wyllt, congratulations on your wedding! [ ah... ] Please accept these gifts from the staff. We're sure you'll enjoy your honeymoon even more! Thank you for staying at the [ blah blah ] hotel.

Yeah... [ He smiles as she wanders around though, still flushed but it's easier now she's less awkward with it. Well, until she finds the card and reads the contents. ]

Sorry, I did write your name but... well.

[ He moves to sit next to her. ] I didn't order anything extra though so it must come with the room.

Even if this isn't our— [ she laughs, covering her mouth with the back of her hand. ] honeymoon, that doesn't mean we can't take the gift, right?

[ her other hand reaches for his, linking their fingers together. ]

They won't know.

Right. [ He smiles back at her, hand linking back with hers. ]

What is it though? It's something small, at least.

Who knows? It's probably chocolate.

[ may as well find out now! she puts the box on her lap and takes the lid off. there's definitely a lot of smaller boxes in there, and once she sees what's inside, she frantically puts the lid back on. ]

What is wrong with this hotel?!

[sortileges]

[ He's watching her face more, and only gets a glimpse, but he has ...no idea what it is anyway. ]

Not chocolate, then?

[psycholawgy]

[ judging by how red she is now?! definitely not chocolate. she just shoves the box at him so he can take a look before she gets up and tries to distract herself by unpacking some of her things. ]

Athena? [ He's still confused when she passes him the box, opening it in confusion because of how red she is. He still doesn't get it when he sees the smaller boxes inside though. ]

What are they?

[ Help this poor manchild... He just pulls one box out and holds it up, trying to study it. ]

Is there something inside?
