[ It's a little unfair really, considering her dress is actually denim (he definitely didn't think this through) and his is thin cotton. He jerks a little, arm trying to clamp down over where her hand just moved.
He ends up biting his lip to stop the laugh that wants to bubble up too. ]
[ you really didn't think this through, did you, merlin? with your legs like jelly, you can barely move much. athena even takes her other hand away from his just to tickle both sides.
[ His hand yanks on her dress when her other hand pulls away from his, both of her hands tickling him now. He definitely goes down without much of a fight, twisting towards the pillow. He can't hold the laughter back now anyway, even if he ends up sliding over the floor trying to take her wrists and get her to stop.
[ at some point during this tickling session, she decides that it's enough and just flops on top of him, both her hands on his shoulders so he doesn't have to bear too much of her weight on him. ]
[ He's still trying to get his breath back when she flops on top of him, ends up flopped out rather weakly himself. His head tips towards hers, though it's obvious he's still remembering how to breathe at first. ]
[ Hopefully it never does come back, considering his arms finally move to curl over her back, pulling her down so she doesn't really have to worry about putting her weight on him. He doesn't care.
Speaking of what feels good to say, his eyes flutter closed and he mumbles softly again: ] I love you.
[ Ah... it feels so calming, too, and he wonders (very very briefly) if this is why and how they ended up so wound up like a tornado. ]
[ Is it possible to melt even more into the ground? Possibly. His eyes do peek open when she asks the question though, and his hands shift so one rests at the bottom of her back, the other starting to trace out the words to the poem on her back. ]
[ It's much better like this, he decides, and while it's embarrassing that he told her poetry to try and make her understand... he isn't willing to let this feeling go by being stubborn. ]
[ she just embraces him now and nuzzles her cheek against his. and maybe kisses him on the cheek, too. there's a hushed whisper of a "yay" before she says: ]
[ guess who's getting the tightest hug in the whole wide world? just guess. and with her face by the side of his, she's decided to kiss him on the neck, too. ]
[ The hug is fine. That's nice. It's when she kisses his neck that he jolts a little, shoulder jumping up as if to protect the skin as it tingles all the way down to his fingertips. His breath comes out in a soft puff and he grips at her back tightly. It only takes a second or two to get used to it, but the initial surprise is Something. ]
[ It might not last long, but she can probably feel his blood pulsing faster under her lips, at least hear his heart speeding up. ]
I know what you mean. [ His hands shift, one delving into her hair, stroking through the strands slowly. The other slides up to rub the back of her neck. ]
[ Really he should sleep as he has a long day ahead of him tomorrow, but instead he just leans to kiss her forehead, mouth lingering there as his hands move to gently massage her scalp while she starts to drift off. ]

[ and then a thought hits her. it's not a bad idea or anything, but it might be questionable in meriln's opinion. ]
What you said earlier... can you write it down later on for me?
[ so she can keep it in her box. ]

The poem?
no subject
Yes, that! I want to put it in my special box.
no subject
I can. Later. I'll find special paper for it too.
[ Hopefully no one ever finds that box... ]

Thanks. I can't wait!

Should I write a love letter too?
no subject
You'd do that? I've never gotten one before! I've only been a messenger for those kinds of things.
no subject
Why wouldn't I? [ His hands reach up, attempting to duck her head down a bit. ]
no subject
Heh... I'd like that. Please?
no subject
I will. You don't have to keep asking. [ Yeah, he's definitely flustered. ]
