[ He waits patiently as she cuts a little, and twists enough so it's easy enough for her to feed him the piece. He moves slowly when she holds it out, eyes closing as his mouth shuts around the fork. He moves back slowly, chocolate getting on his lips from how slowly he does it.

When he pulls away he chews slowly, eyes opening just enough to peek at her. ]

It tastes really good.

[ ah ]

Oh my gosh!

[ well, if anything brought back the loud and cheery athena, it was that. she looks absolutely thrilled that he likes the cake. it's her first time making (not baking) a cake, after all! ]

Really, really?

[ Well, this is Much Better. Praise the lord. He smiles at her when she practically yells out, buzzes a bit because of it. Instead of replying directly though he reaches out to cup her cheek and leans in to kiss her. ]

Have a taste. [ ??? From his mouth apparently... sorry, Athena I'm thirsty. ]

[ o- oh... dear lord. ]

Um.

[ yeah, that does taste good. she hadn't tried the cake yet until now. it tastes even better when it comes from his mouth ah... ]

I'm-- I'm really glad you like it.

[ she's just embarrassed now jesus. ]

[ ah... it's been a while since it was this calm to just sit like this anyway though. It's nice. ]

Can I have a little more?

[ He's just waiting for her to keep feeding him now ah. ]

The cake, right?

[ thanks, she's freaking out now. she grabs the plate, cuts a piece, and quickly shoves it in his mouth. ]

[ Athena please, it isn't like they haven't done worse???

He almost chokes on the cake now, thanks gurl :( ]

[ HE JUST GOT HER FLUSTERED THIS IS HIS FAULT ]

Eat some more!

[ Said, with a mouthful of cake: ]

You didn't need to shove it right in...????

[ that makes her slow down, at least. ]

Couldn't help it!

[ but she sets the plate down on her lap now. ]

Want some more?

[ Thank god...

He just points to his mouth though, trying to tell her he's still chewing. ]

[ she readies the fork anyway by cutting a small piece. ]

I'm really glad you like it, though.

[ When that piece finishes he reaches to take a sip of tea first. ]

Why wouldn't I? It has everything I like, plus it was made by you.

I just didn't want the taste to be bad, you know?

[ ... she didn't taste test. ]

It's-- It's special. It's for you, and I didn't want to ruin your birthday celebration, either.

[ He moves to take the fork from her just briefly. ]

Have a proper taste this time, it's good. I mean, I can't eat the entire thing by myself, can I?

Maybe just a small bite.

[ is he gonna feed her too? she doesn't know. ]

Or I can take home a slice later.

[ He raises an eyebrow at her. ]

You said you were going to share it with me.

[ He's definitely breaking off a piece and holding it out for her though. Yep. ]

[ she leans forward to take a bite. she looks up at the ceiling as she savours the flavour then nods when she swallows. ]

It is pretty good, huh?

[ He gives her a smile. ]

It is. Thank you... for making it.

Anything for you, Merlin.

[ this is gross. ]

[ truly gross. ]

Then you'll share a little more with me?

[ he doesn't mean normally........................... okok ]

[ ah... she doesn't get it, gomen. ]

Are you going to feed me too?

[ she will soon u//u ]

Sort of. Can you cut me another piece?

[ He gives her a small smile while holding out the fork. ]

Of course.

[ she takes the fork from him to cut a small piece, then she offers it to him. ]

Open wide.

[ He takes the bite into his mouth, only realising after that not making this gross is ... kind of difficult. It means he has to kind of leave part on one side of his mouth while he chews the other, just to leave a tiny bit so when he leans to kiss her there's still a strong taste of chocolate and fruit there.

And nope, there's no warning before he leans to kiss her either. ]
