[ she takes his hand away from her hair just so she can hold it. then she twists to lay on her side so she can look at him properly. ]

[ He gives her hand a squeeze when she takes it, only to freeze slightly at her question. His face shifts into a frown before he can help it too. ]

It depends. Generally? Last night?

[ A lot of it is nightmares tbh... ]

[ she'd feel bad if he told her about his nightmares though. she always thought he slept well all this time. ]

It depends... It's usually nothing when I sleep with you but-- [ He takes a deep breath. ] --I have a lot of memory based dreams--nightmares--when I'm alone.

[ now she's frowning too. she lets go of his hand so she can wrap an arm around his tummy. ]

Merlin...

[ she doesn't want him to have nightmares :( ]

[ He blinks at that, giving her a reassuring smile after. ]

I mean when I wake up I just look at the photos I have of you on my device and I'm fine anyway. Don't worry.

What? [ That was definitely asked with a laugh... ]

[ she is so red... she peeks up at him though, more concerned about the nightmares now than his stupid attitude. ]

Does it really help?

[ Red... cute... same thing. He leans so he can nuzzle her a little, pulling her in closer. It's awkward with blankets in the way, but it's fine. ]

Of course it does, I can dream of you instead then.

[ she pushes her face onto his side, hand gripping onto the bed sheets tightly. ]

I'm glad it does.

[ He twists a little so she can get comfortable, then gently rubs the back of her neck. ]

[ she's just embarrassed... ]

[ Athena please... your nightdress is more embarrassing than this. ]

[ He gives her a smile. ]

[ she makes a jab at his belly, but it shouldn't hurt too much. ]

[ she rolls back on her back and just looks up at the ceiling. ]

I really should have gotten you a bracelet too.

Some, probably. [ He blinks as she rolls away a little, watching her face quietly. ] And I told you it probably wouldn't work anyway.

But if it's not your magic, it might work, right?

[ she'll just have to find somebody else now that fay's gone. ]

I don't know, it's still magic. It might conflict and make it worse, too.

[ Did you think of that, Athena... ]

[ it gets her out of bed that's for sure ]

[ Ah... that just leaves him reaching for empty space and staring at the bed so he doesn't look ... at the nightdress............ ]
