[ he doesn't see it, but her cheeks flush pink. and fortunately, his hands aren't on her face anymore that he doesn't feel her cheeks grow warm, either. ]

Because of the movie.

[ but she's leaning in close. athena cykes is hella Thirsty. ]

[ He shakes his head slightly. ] Now you're just being ridiculous. [ He's smiling though, definitely not meaning that at all as he meets her halfway, eyes closing. His foot may have stepped on the free glasses as he twists to get more comfortable, but it really isn't something to worry about right now. ]

[ yeah, screw this movie. they're kissing.

and kissing.

until athena gets a little bit more passionate, kissing and lightly biting his lower lip. she even reaches over to merlin's side and placing her hand on his leg to balance herself.

this armrest is making things more complicated. ]

[ His hand slips on her arm when the bite comes, breath coming out in a puff of air and his lips part in surprise at the jolt that runs down his spine. His eyes even slide open slightly, his hand shaking as it rockets into her hair instead. She can probably feel the shake in his leg too, where her hand is pressing. Hopefully she realises it isn't a bad thing, he's just stepping out into a whole new world now apparently. He copies the motion, teeth pressing lightly into her lip before dragging away.

Is he doing this right??? ]

[ she's shaking, too. shaking with excitement and passion and... the heat of all this. they aren't making a lot of noise for anybody else to see what they're doing, and they're even alone in the back. they have their privacy.

she takes it slow, softly biting at his lip and interchanging it with soft kisses. she wants to whisper something to him, but-- no, not now... she hasn't figured it out yet. instead, though, she says when their faces are so close to each other: ]

Merlin, I really like you.

[ His fingers shift to rub the back of her neck, hand sliding against her skin as he fumbles with where to hold onto. He feels as though he's lost his grounding somewhere, like the seat in this dark cinema isn't helping enough when they're this close and his mouth feels like it's on fire.

When they part his teeth pull his own lip into his mouth, as if still trying to believe everything that's happening right now.

He feels like his stomach is full of butterflies, like his heart is pounding hard enough the people in front of them can hear, which is dumb when he knows she's the one with that ability.

He forgets how to speak, making only a soft choked noise at first before he laughs softly, a laugh that is 100% joy. ] I really like you, too.

[ they really should have stayed at home, or maybe headed up to the rooftop again to relax. this isn't bad by any means, and she's sure merlin was (is?) having fun watching the movie... which they've conveniently forgotten about now.

she laughs, as well. ]

The movie. We- We should watch it... even though I want to kiss you some more. [ she gives his upper leg a squeeze before finishing with another quick kiss. god, if only they weren't in the theatre and they were elsewhere.

but there's always next time. ]

[ Athena may have slept a lifetime if that happened though, and then where would they be? He clears his throat when she squeezes his leg, feeling the muscles tense, before letting his head drop against her shoulder. It's fine though, he's ...?? laughing? ]

I think I stepped on the glasses.

[ aka... he can't now ] and you missed the first half anyway.

[ What are they even doing here. ]

[ oh god, now she's laughing, too. ]

You have to pay for that, you know?

[ a beat. ]

What now?

[ He pulls back to look at her, before trying to see down into the pit of darkness where their feet are. ]

Maybe I can fix them...

[ In before he sets them both on fire. ] What do you want to do?

[ He finally finds the glasses on the floor, holding them up to squint at them using the light from the screen. An arm is hanging on by a thread and one of the lenses is cracked.

Oops. ] Do you think they'll notice? [ Kissing is a dangerous game?????? ]

... of course they'll notice.

[ she does move closer to it, though, inspecting it. ]

Can you really fix it?

[ they can always continue where they left off another time... :) ]

[ Sleight of hand is a possibility Athena... he could slip it back into the bag before they notice, but that really isn't something to tell her, now is it?

He cringes and slides his thumb over the glass. ]

I haven't really study any magic that does something like that. [ Only destruction or ways to make his lazy ways more possible.

Or to flirt, apparently. ] But I can try?

[ ah!! he's going to do magic again... this is going to be fun. ]

What are you going to say? What spell? I want to say it with you.

[ she's such a child. ]

[ Ah... he's going to end up raining on her parade here. ]

I don't know any words for it... [ He bites his lip, glances at her then flattens it out on his palm. He has to concentrate on the action he wants, the glass to repair itself, the arm snapping back into place.

His eyes do flash.......................... but nothing happens. ]

Woah...

[ maybe she's never noticed it before. has his eyes always lit up whenever he did magic? she should've been more attentive... instead of just staring at the contours of his face or how cute his nose is, or.... ]

It didn't work.

[ She definitely just hasn't noticed before. Every spell he does require that, considering it's the way the spell is "released" so to speak. It's only a quick flash and only to start the spell, but it happens.

He scrunches up his face, shakes his head. ] Good job I've been working just as much as you have, isn't it?

I think if we leave now, they won't know that we broke the glasses.

[ smart and law breaking ideas from an attorney... ]

[ It's just a pair or like 5 credit glasses, Athena... it'll be okay. They paid a lot already, it isn't the worst idea. He gives her a grin. ] Have you got all your sweets packed away?

[ WHO KNOWS IF THEY'RE ONLY 5 CREDITS. YOU DON'T KNOW THAT, MERLIN. what if they're actually 500 credits?! stop talking like you know everything, jeez!

wheezes.

she does grab her bag of sweets. fortunately for them, the credits seem to start rolling. that was some oddly good timing. ]

Ready.

[ WHATEVER!!!!!!!!! He doesn't care, he already spent like 200 credits on the cinema with how much they ordered anyway.

Though as soon as she has her handbag and sweets he reaches for her hand, leaving his used up box and everything there. They're going to make a run for it.

He pulls her up once he's sorted too, running down the centre while avoiding people and pulling her along, there's probably an angry robot somewhere because of these dumb teenagers running through a packed cinema probably looking incredibly suspicious. Thankfully, when one robot seems to find their rubbish it's less inconspicuous and they won't end up on a CERES bulletin but still.

It doesn't look good for a lawyer, does it Athena?! ]

This way-- [ He makes a dive for the exit, laughing about this whole thing once they're outside and out of view. ]

[ it doesn't at all, but nobody ever said athena was a do-good lawyer. she's tried to beat up cops before and even emotionally blackmailed one--she's beyond what people would call a good lawyer.

though of course, her work is good. and she means well. and she'll defend her clients 'til the end.

she's laughing as they run and exit, too. she doesn't pant or anything because she doesn't feel at all tired from that run, but what she does do is let out a loud "woo!" that was so much fun, and she can still feel the thrill of it in her bones. ]

We're going to own the night, Merlin! Let's do something that we'd never normally do!

[ She's a hardworker, and that's what matters--though he doubts the robots will want to listen to that. He pulls her a little further into the hiding place they've snuck into for the time being, peering around the corner first to check all is safe.

That said and done, he looks at her with his eyebrows raised. ]

Something that we'd never normally do? [ She sure is fired up now, isn't she? ] Like what exactly?

[ His hand is still curled around hers, so he uses that to pull her into himself, leaning against the wall so they can stay hidden even if the cinema bothers to do a search for them. They should be alright, though. ]

[ a hand ends up resting on his chest. she can feel his heartbeat; his chest move up and down. his breathing is fast, but it's to be expected after the rush that they just experienced.

as for her own... it's probably the same—no, it's just the same. but for entirely different reasons. ]

I don't know-- [ she laughs. ] There's a lot we haven't done together. We-- We can sneak into the planetarium since I bet it's already closed.

[ wow, breaking the law, athena? that's okay. it's all for merlin, anyway. ♥ ]

[ Look, it isn't causing damage to anyone and is simply for a bit of fun... What a bit of breaking and entering? (He's clearly done this too often for the Greater Good). ]

Which way? [ He isn't saying no....... ]

This way...

[ it's as if she's going to move outwards the alley and into the street, but instead she stays where she is and pulls merlin by the collar to kiss him again. ]

I want to continue where we left off.

[ thank god it's dark where they are.

and once she's let go, she pulls him out into the streets. it sure is late now and there aren't a lot of establishments open. the trains have stopped ( ?? probably ?? ) so they have to get there by foot. but at least things are quiet and peaceful. and all she can hear is the sound of his heart. ]
