[ this is probably how they'll be walking from now on. her clinging to his arm and everything... ah...

once they reach one of the rooms, though, she lets go of him and opens the door to poke her head in before finally going inside. she greets the masseuses with a very bright "hello" before she takes a seat on one of the beds. ]

[ That's okay, he's more than okay with this (especially since she has a robe on!!!)

Though she's a lot perkier than he is, considering now they're there he's nervous about this being another awful massage. He sits a bit awkwardly, though the two masseuses actually give them both a step by step explanation of what they'll do.

It's already going better lbr. They offer to put the screen up if they want it, and considering this is embarrassing enough already he just stays quiet to let Athena decide that. His head is probably going to stay mushed to the table anyway. ]

[ SHE ALREADY SAW HIS ASS EARLIER LET'S NOT HAVE HER SEE IT AGAIN

THE SCREEN IS GOING UP

and the second it does, athena undresses and covers herself in just a towel then lays on the bed and gets comfortable. ]

[ ASSES ARE COVERED YOU WEIRDO........ Though he's doing the same on his side, relieved that they can do it this way. Once he's laid out on the table he wiggles a bit, jumping slightly when he feels oil being dribbled along his back. The masseuse warms their hands up then begins and oh dear lord.

It's difficult to keep still when hands are sliding over you to spread out the oil then pressing down. His poor lip is going to end up bloody again as he keeps in the first set of noises anyway. ]

[ athena doesn't even bother to strike up a conversation. she just straight up goes to sleep after telling her masseuse to go hard on her. uwu ]

[ STOP TELLING PEOPLE TO GO HARD ON YOU

But no it's definitely good that she goes to sleep because he's not going to be able to keep quiet for the next 30 - 45 minutes as his shoulders are done then down along his back. The worlds limpest noodle is right here, friends. The masseuse even does along his legs, though by that point he's probably drifting to sleep as well.

Apparently it isn't a first, though when they use dry cloths to wipe off the oil he definitely feels kind of gross, like he needs another shower stat. ]

Athena are you nearly done?

[ Or is she still asleep tbh... ]

[ she's definitely still asleep, even when her masseuse whispers to her that they're done and gives her shoulder a pat.

why did she wake up at 5am and agree to this... she's sleeping so soundly, even without the bracelet around her wrist. ]

[ The masseuse can't even handle her more than they have to wrap her up either. They do, at least, cover her so she has some privacy going on but... They honestly don't know what to do. They have other people waiting outside, too, so it isn't as though she can just nap there.

It means that the masseuse ends up dragging him over to help. He leans down to slide her hair away from her ear and tries as well. ]

Athena, you need to wake up. [ Why does this keep happening on their dates... girl fix your sleeping ways. ]

[ her eyes open slowly and it takes a couple of seconds for her vision to stop being blurry, and she lets out a soft "huh?" in response.

then she realises she's not in her own room and pushes herself up-- wait, why is her chest cold? she glances down... ah. . . the massage. without even noticing merlin there, she grabs the other side of the towel to cover her front. hopefully merlin didn't see anything.

she looks around for her masseuse and that's when she notices him. and she looks even more confused than before. ]

Why are you on my side?

[ Don't worry, as soon as she moves his eyes squeeze shut to ensure he doesn't see anything. He keeps his eyes shut the entire time after, too. ]

Because someone didn't get enough sleep last night and they couldn't wake them up. I wonder who that is?

[ He probably shouldn't tease her when he can't see because he's trying to be respectful... ]

[ merlin is lucky she's too zen right now to smack him, because she would. she would. ]

Sorry. I was sleeping so soundly.

[ she looks at her masseuse now and bows her head slightly, thanking them for the great massage she just had. then she turns back to him. ]

Is it time to go?

[ It is a good thing, but he's keeping his eyes tightly shut still. ]

Are you ready? They need to let in more people, which is why they had me try to help.

Keep your eyes closed.

[ she turns around to grab her swimsuit to put it back on. it doesn't take long for her to do so, and she wraps the towel around her body again. ]

Okay, ready.

[ If she looks she'll notice his hands clenched at his sides, but his eyes are still tightly shut. What a good obedient puppy. It's only when she says she's ready that he opens them, but he has to blink a few times as white spots obstruct his vision.

He does hold out his arm for her though while saying thank you to both of the masseuses. ]

Let's go. [ Though jesus he squeezed his eyes shut too tightly. ]

athena just puts a hand on his arm and lets herself get led outside. ]

Did you want to go to the pools? I was thinking we could have a foot spa or something.

but no, once they're outside he glances down at her, reshuffling his own robe a little. ]

That sounds good. I don't think we have to use the showers yet if we want to do that either.

Yeah! And we can sleep again.

[ was that athena's intention all along? we will never know... she beams brightly at him though, looking really pleased with their day so far. ]

This is so fun. It's like a field trip. There's so many things to do.

I... never went to sleep, you know.

[ Though god... somehow this whole experience, her getting rest and pampered is only making her glow really. ]

What's a field trip? [ ah... ] As it sounds less pleasing by name alone than you're making it sound.

[ she blinks once, twice, then just looks away to drag him to where they can possibly get a foot spa. and a facial. ]

They're like... you know when you're in school, and the whole class leaves the school to have outdoor activities. Something like that.

[ He follows without question. ]

I can understand it, I think? ...I think. [ Well, it isn't like he's ever been to school nevermind field trips. ]

Just imagine a class going to the planetarium instead of having an actual class for the day.

[ that might be a better explanation tbh. ]

So it's more of a... oh hands learning experience?

[ Yeah, it definitely was. There's a few free booths in the facials, pedicures and manicures areas so he leaves it up to her to choose a seat. ]

It looks like this one takes a while anyway.

Yeah, exactly! You get it.

[ she takes a seat at the very end of the booths and gestures for merlin to take the seat next to her. at least they're away from the other spa patrons, they'll have some privacy, not that... they'd do anything. but they can talk better about stuff when they're alone.

two employees approach them with their kits and athena tells them that she wants a facial, and a manipedi. then she asks one of them to explain what a facial is to merlin because he... probably doesn't know... ]

I did? [ Why does he sound surprised with himself??? He grins at her for actually getting it, pleased and proud. Ah. He sits down next to her though, but he's wiggling a bit. How will he stay still for such a long time...? That's the question.

He listens as the employee explains the procedure, and it sounds alright. It means he just sits back and lets them do whatever, honestly. He trusts Athena to not lead him into anything too weird. ]

Yeah! Want a cookie?

[ she's just playing now. but ah, that said, she leans back on her chair and closes her eyes, letting the employee do their thing. hers is probably going to take a while because she asked for three things all at once and there's only one employee to tend to each patron, but ah...

merlin should get a foot spa. ]
