[ she can be mature!!!! :( and she does trust him with all her heart. he came back to her when she thought she was losing him. he said he wasn't giving up on her. it just means a lot to athena, even though she doesn't talk much about it. or at all. ]

[ She can!!! And it means a lot that she isn't acting weirdly about any of this. More than he's saying, but his hand definitely shifts from her hair to slide over her arm. ]

[ she'd hit him for that but she feels so giddy and overwhelmed right now that she can't. and she tries not to laugh, but she breathes one out, anyway. this is just more than she could have ever imagined. ]

[ His hand slides up to rub her temple, body shifting even closer to her until his foot is nudging over hers. Ah. ]

[ He shifts a little to nuzzle his nose against hers, then leans a little more until he can kiss her slowly. ]

[ well it's a good thing she brushed her teeth after throwing up, didn't she. she certainly didn't expect to be kissed after all that display of crying and whatnot. but she kisses him back all the same. ]

He smooths her hair aside after a bit, fingers brushing over her neck before he pulls away. ] Did you want to rest some more?

[ she does want to get some more rest, but she should probably get up before ai wakes up and prepare breakfast. it just hasn't been her who's been troubled these past few days, it's also been ai. athena needs to do her part! and it's why she shakes her head and pushes herself up. a hand goes up to her forehead as she gets out of bed. ]

[ she looks back at him when he says that, looking a bit unsure. she's fine. she grew up travelling by herself and taking care of herself that she's so used to doing things on her own. but maybe she shouldn't have to think this way forever? she's still a bit hesitant, which is why the smile she makes is a little bit crooked. but hey, it's a start. ]

I can be very bossy, you know. [ she's not even joking!! ] Are you sure you want to help?

[ She did, but things have changed now. She has Ai, she has him. Other friends, too. His hand moves to graze her cheek before he gives her a smile in return...only his is mixed with a laugh. ]

instead of saying anything, she just grabs a pillow and attempts to thwack him with it :T ]

[ Which only brings more laughter tbh. He ducks down out of the way to avoid it, but it means that he's now burying his face against her stomach, arms curling around her waist. ]

[ now that he seems to be still, she hits him on the back with the pillow instead. ]

[ Ah... There goes the pillow. He doesn't shift much but when he does he just retaliates by nuzzling her vest up a bit with his nose then blowing a rasperberry onto her skin. Yeah!!!! Take that. ]

WHY IS THIS HAPPENING she squirms when he does that but since he's holding onto her, she can't exactly move much. ]

Mer-- [ god no it tickles and she's trying so hard not to laugh. ]

[ It's happening because she already broke her promise by thwaking him with a pillow? Only he isn't going to say that now, is he?

Instead he just smiles against her, shifts his mouth slightly to do it again. Ah. Really he just wants her to laugh again and laughter is a good cure for headaches ok.
