[ That really is embarrassing too though? He ends up rubbing the back of his neck with his free hand, where the skin is bright red too. He licks his lips nervously, sweating under the collar a bit even if his heart feels like it'll burst from how she's looking at him now.

He's flustered as fuck despite starting this. ]

It is. Well, not really but... I can pretend. M... mostly. [ I mean, some people are still whispering things while not-so-subtly walking past. ]

she lets go of his hand and takes a forkful of salad before offering it to him. ]

Well, the faster we eat, the sooner we'll have privacy.

[ He leans to take a bite, his hand dropping to pick at the fork next to his place. Though, he does almost choke at what she says. ]

[ Now he'll just hold out a piece of beef for her to taste.

[ she didn't mean ANYTHING by it, merlin!! you're the one making it weird! but whatever, man. she takes a bite too, chewing slowly and it's once she swallows that she gives him her nod of approval. it's good! ]

He just shakes his head though, honestly. ]

It doesn't matter. Try a piece of this part, too. [ He moves to cut up the stuffed peppers from the other plate, holding that out for her to try. ]

[ she takes a small piece of the stuffed peppers with her fork, then. she's a bit hesitant when she takes a bite, hoping that it wouldn't be too hot, and it isn't! it's really, really good. ]

See, I told you your orders were right.

[ Well there isn't any spices in it, just herbs and tomatoes, and it's just a plain pepper. Temperature wise they've let it cool a little, but it's good. All of it is. ]

I just guessed though, I mean I don't even know what some of these ingredients are.

[ He tries a bite then, eyes closing as he takes in the taste, licking his lips after. There's a soft hum in appreciation for the flavour, too. ]

In that case, they were really good guesses.

[ she takes a sip of the wine, now. and unlike how she usually drinks it, it really is just a sip this time. ]

Do you want to try making these some time? [ not that she has an idea how to make these... she'll just have to read ahead. ] We can put it on our list.

Apparently so. [ He'll try a bite of the beef then, appreciating the taste of that. Really it's just nice to have whatever he wants. ]

I doubt they'd give us a recipe, but I could try and mimic it.

[ I mean, he isn't too bad... at cooking.......... maybe. ]

It shouldn't be difficult to find the recipe online.

[ welcome to the future, merlin! she eats more of the salad and the peppers than the beef, though. and perhaps every now and then, he'll be able to catch her just staring at the ring on her finger. ]

I keep forgetting, it's just easier to go to the library or buy a book really.

[ Well they ordered a bottle but... they've only really had one glass and neither of them is downing it thank fuck ]

I don't think I'm ever going to the library here again. We were forced to borrow a book once, and the books messed with our heads.

I guess you could just buy a cookbook at a shop if you really want an actual book.

I can check the books I have at home if any of them have a recipe similar to this.
